These series of etchings were about the concept our youth and time passing.
4 seperate plates, all with only one liquid hard ground line etch.

My original idea was to represent ourselves mentally, physically, and psychologically as an apple.
The image of an apple is fruitfull and filled with life. Red with lucious color and temporarily ripe.
I then wanted to combine the scientific style of my illustration with a fruitfull element, to send the message of
our life being a fruit that is sweet and consumed by growth outward and inward.
Time passes, a fruit blooms and begins to grow, begins to prosper and live to it's fullest.
But it can't stop the element of time, and it catches up with us.
We inhale and exhale. Breathing in and out. Until our bodies aren't the same as our mentality.
We have to grow, and we don't last forever.
The piece is open to interpretation.
